david garza


It was thursday night and of course I was at Largo. This time it was to see David Garza (again).

just guitar/piano, and a drummer.

it was simple. it was great.

it was an oddly small turnout, but for us 20 or so people, it was request night.
black and tan, got my own style, discoball world, some great songs en espanol

while I enjoy every permutation of a david garza (double drummers,pedal steels, dub station,) there is something great about the stripped down show last night.

every perfect note, every mistake was upfront.

i think the measure of a good song is its ability to sound good in its most simple form.

do I move?

is it worth the increase in rent to avoid long commutes and wasted time on the road?
