back home in kansas city.
I had quite a journey to get here. after nasty traffic on the 105, I arrived an hour early for my flight.. not too bad I thought to myself...
too bad the rain decided to make things more difficult.
as you can already tell, I had to wait outside for security. unfortunately, there were more people than shelter, and I, along with a few hundred other poor souls became soaked in an (LA) downpour of rain.
luckily, they diverted us through another terminal for security.
I get on the bus back to the terminal to realize that my laptop was missing!
freaking out silently in my head, I head back up and down a few times, only to realize that in my haste, I had put the laptop in an un-used pocket..relief
I get to the terminal, where the flight was delayed, feeling like a wet dog.
I tried to change in the bathroom as best as I could....
I tried to dry my jeans on the planes air blower and simultaneously dry a sweater ....
my socks were soaked, and I was too afraid to take them off, fearing a horrible wet smell..
needless to say, I made it all in one piece.
I have just finished a great evening with my friend Erica, catching up, making promises we both will keep, and finishing up a good dinner with some CSI back home.
this weekend should be fun.
