I'm back in kansas city for spring break.. its nice being around friends and family.
no definite plans as of yet, but I do plan to do alot of work on my portfolio for my masters degree. i can't believe I graduate in may.
if you are in the area, give me a call and we should hang out.

its always these small things, pieces of paper, phone conversations..that I forget/ignore and they come back to bite me in the ass..
hopefully It will end. I realize that for me to grow up, I need to get much more organized and put together. i cannot be the unorganized mess and still think I can continue to perform at this level. If I really want to get the PhD, I can't be slumming it on a messy desk, hastily looking for documents out of a cardboard box extracted from my closet.
listening to John Coltrane is making my heart pump a bit faster.
I went out on a date the other day. It was a good first date. Can't say I was too excited about her overall though. But, it was a good experience. especially since most of the women I dated were somehow already in my immediate or not-too distant circle. I totally did not know this woman, nor had any common friends. It was cool. but, a date is a date. time to get on with life.
i can't believe i graduate the 8th of may. and , believe it or not, I think i'm gonna actually participate in the ceremony. that is, if I pass!
Life is moving fast, whether I like it or not..so I better get used to it and go with the flow.
Its kind of scary..I'm a bit indifferent as to where my immediate future will head. It makes much sense economically to stay in KC, unless I can get a job here in LAthat pays the same or more.but, I'd still be struggling. I don't see any shame in going back home. while alot of people I know haven't left since school, I've moved out to the big ol city. I'll come back, not with my tail between my legs, but with my head, although beaten up and bruised, held high..proud of what I have accomplished. I can't stop there though, I have much more to do.
thats my shitty inspiring quip for the day. as you can see, the school day has not started yet, so my spirit or will has not been bruised or stepped on yet.
time to make copies.
